Argo was a great movie and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys movies like Argo. Argo is based on the real-life events that happened during the Iran hostage crisis in 1979. Argo didn’t win any Oscars but it did get a standing ovation from the crowd when Ben Affleck won the award for ‘best director. Argo has received a lot of criticism for not giving credit to the Canadian government and its role in the rescue operation Argo (2012). “Argo” conjointly disturbingly caters to the biased, post-9/11 image of Islam, Muslims and Middle Easterners and effectively serves to re-assert existing stereotypes.
